Artist's Statement

​

            My work lives at the intersection between live action and animation, often blending different mediums to tell stories in unconventional ways. I’ve always viewed film as a universal language, one that allows us to find connection across different cultures, experiences and perspectives. Every new process is my attempt to harness this language to tell anti-nihilistic stories with themes of self-discovery. 

            In my experience, there’s no greater joy than bringing a character and their world to life. Whether it’s adding that highlight into their eyes or determining the confidence in their stride, it will never get old knowing that someone out there will see themselves in this character. With how the modern world tries to keep us isolated, it’s more important than ever that people can find this connection. My works are reminders that no matter how chaotic life may seem, we are never alone.
